Bodla is an important Tehsil in Kabirdham district of Chhattisgarh state. It is strategically located with having 20 km distance towards North from its district head quarters - Kawardha. However, the state capital, Raipur is situated at around 128 km from this tehsil. Located at 325 meter elevation above the sea level, Bodla is surrounded by S. Lohara Tehsil towards south, Pandariya Tehsil towards East, Kabirdham Tehsil towards South and Kawardha Tehsil towards south. Besides that, this city also shares its borders with the cities like Mungeli, Kawardha, Bemetara and Malajkhand.

Bodla in Kabirdham is located on the latitude of 26.05 and the longitude of 74.02 with an average elevation of 325 meters. It has a tropical and dry climate. The summer season remains very hot during the months from April to June. During these months, the temperature can reaches up to 45°C with hot and dry wind through the area. The inhabitants of the city get relief from the hot summer through the arrival of monsoon season during the start of July month. The maximum precipitation comes at Bodla in the month of August which ends during initial week of September. The monsoon here is followed by the winter season when the temperature can goes down to 5°C between December and January. Transportation in Bodla

As far as transport system is concerned, Bodla Tehsil has very less options as there is no major bus stand and railway station at this region. However, state run buses and private buses are constantly running through this city connecting it to the major parts of the state. In the similar manner, there is no railway station located near to Bodla. Kargi Road Railway Station and Salka Road Railway Station provide the less distance to cover when compares to others as they are located at the distances of 94 km. Other railway stations can be Khongsara Railway Station (95 km) and Bhanwar Tonk Railway Station (96 km). From these railway stations, one can take assistance of local transportation such as auto rickshaws or taxis to reach at Bodla.
